Extra Curricular Activities at Wyvern Primary School

Wyvern_27

We pride ourselves on providing a wide variety of extra-curricular activities for our children. As well as high quality educational visits, we offer a range of lunchtime and after-school clubs to broaden children's learning.

When are the Clubs?

A letter is sent out half termly with the datse and times. Clubs run for five weeks per half term. Most take place after school from 3.00-4.00pm but there are a few that take place in our lunchtimes.

How much will they cost?

  • £2.50 for each after school club (total of £2.50 for the 5 weeks) or £1.25 for lunchtime clubs if they are run by school staff.
  • Clubs run by outside providers may charge more.
  • If your child joins a club, they will be expected to attend each week. There will be no refunds for non-attendance.
  • If your child is entitled to Free School Meals, please ask in the office if we have a free place available at a club (maximum of one free place per term).

How do I collect my child?

  • For after school clubs, collect from the school office at 4pm.
  • Please be prompt, as the office closes shortly after 4pm.
  • Only adults named on your child’s collection sheet from school will be able to collect your child. If someone else will be collecting your child, you must notify the office in advance.
  • If your child is in year 5 and 6 and you have given consent for them to walk home alone, they will also be allowed to do so after clubs.

How do I book a place

  1. You can book a place, pay and give consent online by visiting www.schoolgateway.co.uk or download the app to your phone.  The booking system has been updated this term, please note that you must book clubs by clicking on the ‘Clubs’ section of the schoolgateway, select the club you wish to book and then select make a booking.  You can then make your booking and will be taken to the payment page.  Payment alone does not secure a place.  Please ensure that you book your sessions by clicking on the club section.

Or

  1. Ask at the office for a consent slip and pay in cash.

The clubs will be issued on a first come, first served basis. If your child is not able to get a place in their chosen club, please let the office know and we will do our best to allocate them a club next term.

An example clubs list for one half term is below.
