Wyvern Primary School

Every maintained school in Leicester provides a free school meal for pupils in reception, year 1 and year 2. This follows a recommendation in the school food plan which aims to increase the number of children reaching good food in schools which will have a positive impact on children.

Older children that are not entitled to free school meals must pay £2.50 for a two-course meal. Delicious and nutritious!

Research from the government shows that having hot school dinners has a significant positive impact on attainment for primary school pupils at Key Stages 1 and 2, with pupils making more progress in a short space of time.
