Wider Opening of the School to More Year Groups

From Thursday 4th June, we will be operating a phased return to school for some year groups. The letter and document below explain our plans.

A letter from Councillor Elly Cutkelvin to parents and carers.

Are you concerned that someone you know is experiencing domestic violence during lockdown?

This leaflet tells you what you can do if you are worried about someone or need help yourself.

City Catering and Free School Meals

City Catering are continuing to operate during this COVID 19 lockdown. We are providing food parcels to children who are entitled to Free School Meals. These are available to collect from school every Tuesday. If your child is entitled to free school meals, please telephone the school to order a parcel.

Once your child returns to school, they will receive a daily school meal on site instead of a food parcel.

Emotional Wellbeing

Members of the psychology service are  able to provide a 30 minute telephone consultation for parents/carers and education staff who are concerned about a child or young people‚Äôs emotional wellbeing and resilience.

Please telephone 0116 454 5470 to book an appointment.

Please see the parent/ guardian leaflet below about radicalisation, which has been put together by police and partner agencies.

Wyvern Primary School

A welcome from our Pupil Governors..

Welcome to Wyvern Primary School!

Our school is based on being fair, equal and multi-cultural. We are a Rights Respecting School and we are working hard to develop our Character Muscles and learn to be the best we can be. Our school promotes the British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance of those of different faiths and beliefs.

We are all part of a house team. Our house mascots are Diamond, Ruby, Emerald and Sapphire, who are all wyverns, and you can see their pictures at the top of this page.

We also pride ourselves on helping others and being friendly and supportive! We have shown this by supporting charities like Wear it Wild, Happy Shoesday, Unicef and Guide Dogs. We believe that all children deserve to be heard and that Pupil Voice is very important as it is our school and our education!

Everyone is kind and we have lots of fun whilst learning. We like going on educational visits and getting involved in lots of music, singing and sports like swimming and football!

We hope that you like our website and come to visit us soon!

Thank you,

The Wyvern Pupil Governors

The pupil governors have summed up our school in just a few sentences but,If you are looking for a school place for your child, we would be delighted to show you around and you can see the school in action.

Please contact the school office to arrange an appointment.
