A Message from the Headteacher

Welcome to Wyvern Primary School!

As the new Headteacher of this wonderful school, I am delighted to welcome you to our vibrant and inclusive school community. At Wyvern, we are proud to be a place where fairness, equality, and multicultural values are at the heart of everything we do.

We are a Rights Respecting School, committed to ensuring that every child feels valued, heard, and empowered. We pride ourselves on having a broad, balanced and evolving curriculum that challenges our children’s thinking and prepares them well for the next step in their education. Our children are encouraged to grow not only academically but also personally, through the development of qualities like resilience, kindness, and curiosity that help them to become the very best version of themselves.

We believe in the power of education to raise aspirations, but also of friendship, support, and helping others. From our teachers to our midday supervisors, from our site management to our learning support assistants, Wyvern’s fantastic staff team is committed to giving our children the very best start to their education, and whether it's through daily interactions or wider community initiatives, our school fosters a culture of care and cooperation.

Thank you for visiting our website. We look forward to sharing our journey with you and celebrating the achievements of our amazing children.

Warm regards,

Mark Wilson Headteacher

A welcome from our Pupil Governors...

Welcome to Wyvern Primary School!

Our school is based on being fair, equal and multi-cultural. We are a Rights Respecting School and we are working hard to develop our Character Muscles and learn to be the best we can be. Our school promotes the British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance of those of different faiths and beliefs.

We are all part of a house team. Our house mascots are Diamond, Ruby, Emerald and Sapphire, who are all wyverns.

We also pride ourselves on helping others and being friendly and supportive! We have shown this by supporting charities like Wear it Wild, Happy Shoesday, Unicef and Guide Dogs. We believe that all children deserve to be heard and that Pupil Voice is very important as it is our school and our education!

Everyone is kind and we have lots of fun whilst learning. We like going on educational visits and getting involved in lots of music, singing and sports like swimming and football!

We hope that you like our website and come to visit us soon!

Thank you,
The Wyvern Pupil Governors
